Why did you start the Hudson Food Walk?
When our friends and family visit Hudson they often comment of how they feel like they are on vacation. For years, we have loved inviting them to Hudson with its thriving downtown and unique culinary scene. The Hudson Food Walk gives people an opportunity to taste their way through the downtown area and learn about the city’s rich history.
Where does the tour begin and how long is the Hudson Food Walk?
The Hudson Food Walk begins in downtown Hudson. As your tour date gets closer, you will be emailed information on where to meet for the first stop and any special considerations for parking. Tours take place rain or shine. Please dress comfortably for the weather. The total distance walked is approximately 1/2 mile along mostly flat terrain, although there are some small inclines and declines on the sidewalks on the route. Guests are encouraged to come early and stay late and enjoy the many boutique shops, restaurants and bars in Hudson.
Is there time for shopping?
There are many unique shops along the Hudson Food Walk. Your tour guide will take time to mention these shops along the way, but there is limited time during the tour. However, we encourage you to come back and visit the shops after your tour or on another visit to Hudson.
What if it rains?
The tour will go on – rain or shine. Please dress comfortably and for the weather.
How much food will I get?
Think of it as very filling savory samples. There are six stops which are designed to be the equivalent of a meal over the three hours.
What if I have dietary restrictions or food allergies?
You are able to specify dietary restrictions and food allergies when you book your tickets. Please be as specific as possible so we can try and accommodate your needs.
Are there any beverages served on Hudson Food Walk?
Water is served and three locations include a sample-sized alcoholic beverage available to guests aged 21 and over. Guests may also purchase beverages at locations along the route.
What else is there besides the food?
A ton! You will learn the rich history of Hudson and how this quaint river town has become a destination location. Our tour guides will also provide you with the backgrounds of our independent restaurants and their unique stories of why they began their business in Hudson.
Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?
Hudson Food Walk tickets often sell out so tickets should be purchased in advance to guarantee your spots. Tickets can be purchased online with a Credit or Debit card.
Can I bring an infant on the tour?
As space is limited on the tour, please contact us at 715-255-0428 to inquire.
Where can we park?
Hudson is a popular destination and it may take a few extra minutes to find a parking spot, so plan accordingly. The city uses the “Passport” parking app and it can be downloaded onto your mobile device. All of the parking in the main downtown area is pay zone 17102. There is on-street parking available for free in some of the residential areas a few blocks from downtown. Parking on Sundays is free.
Is the Hudson Food Walk wheelchair accessible?
We understand that some of our guests may have differing mobility needs. We will do our best to accommodate all of our guests to ensure you enjoy the Hudson Food Walk. Please contact us in advance of the tour if you have any questions or concerns.
How should I dress?
It’s Hudson and we are casual and fun. However, look ahead at the forecast and dress for the weather conditions.
If I live in the Hudson area why should I take this tour?
Let’s face it…there’s a ton you do not know about Hudson and our fabulous restaurant scene. There is nothing like being a visitor in your own city and learning more about the place you live. Plus, after taking one of our tours, you can impress your family and friends with your new found knowledge for the next time you go out on the town.

Should I tip the tour guide?
While tipping is not necessary or expected, tipping is customary if you had a great time and want to recognize the tour guide for a job well done.
Do you allow for private groups or parties?
Yes! We love hosting a private group or party. The Hudson Food Walk is a great way for a business group, club, family, birthday or bachelorette party to experience the Hudson food scene. Please contact us and we can reserve a date for your group.
